Jim Golding | President
As President and Chief Executive Officer, Jim Golding leads all teams, divisions and operations. His extensive history as Chief Operations Officer, Vice President of Construction, and Civil Engineer qualify him to steer this multi-million dollar organization with a workforce of more than 1,000 employees.
With nearly 35 years of experience in the construction industry, Jim brings to Geneva Rock Products an affinity for quality work and premium service. He works hard to instill the same values throughout the organization.
Jim earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University. He maintains certification as a Professional Civil Engineer in the state of Utah, and has provided over 31 years of service to the Boy Scouts of America organization.
An avid outdoorsman, Jim especially enjoyed surfing and sailing while growing up in Southern California; once piloting a 40-foot sailboat to Hawaii. He has since replaced that love with a fondness for skiing and backpacking in Utah. He and his wife Kristi, have six children and five grandchildren.
Jay Ritchie | Vice President, Concrete
With a 30 year career in the concrete industry, Jay is a trusted expert in the field. His work experience includes everything from sales and project management to executive leadership for multiple concrete companies.
As Vice President, Jay manages various concrete divisions and plants throughout the state. His teams are focused on providing the highest quality product, to the right locations at the right times.
Jay currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association. He has previously served as the Mayor of West Point City, UT, and received a degree from Weber State University in 1979.
It’s no surprise that Jay’s favorite piece of construction equipment is a ready-mix truck. Other hobbies include fly-fishing, playing golf and watching baseball. Jay and his wife Paula reside in West Point and have three children and two grandchildren.
Nathan Schellenberg | Vice President, Construction
Nathan maintains a solid reputation for project management expertise, working hard to exceed client expectations and consistently deliver quality projects.
A successful history of managing large, urban projects with major utility relocation, tight construction schedules, and extensive inter-agency coordination allows him to effectively manage even the most complex of projects. Previous roles as Manager of Special Projects and Project Manager have helped him become an expert in design, bidding, and project execution.
Nathan received a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University. He is an active member of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) and serves on the AGC of Utah Highway Committee and American Fork City Planning Commission.
Nathan and wife Melissa have seven children and enjoy being busy with their kids’ sporting events, performances and community activities. Nathan enjoys running and is always up for a road trip.
Shane Albrecht | Vice President, Special Projects
Shane has worked for Geneva Rock Products for 18 years, most recently in his role as Area Manager of construction. Notable projects include: grading and paving of the Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele County, Utah; Interstate 84 reconstruction between Mountain Green and Morgan in Morgan County, Utah; and the $100 million Legacy Parkway Segment 3 project in Davis County, Utah.
Prior to his career with the company, he worked as an engineer for Sandy City and as a project manager with Savage Asphalt Paving. Albrecht attended the University of Utah where he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
Carl Clyde | Vice President, Gravel & Asphalt
Carl has been with Geneva Rock for over 35 years. He got his start as a lab technician and construction estimator. He then moved into gravel and asphalt sales before becoming the Gravel and Asphalt Division Manager, leading into his current position as Vice President of the Aggregates Division.
Carl received a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University. He has served as the Vice-Chair of the Springville City Planning Commission, Committee Chair of the AGC Intermountain Chapter, Aggregates and Environmental Committee, and as a board member of the American Concrete Institute, Intermountain Chapter.
Carl and his wife Heather have five children, three boys and two girls, and two grandsons.
