Last month, Geneva Rock helped celebrate its 70th anniversary with a Team Member Appreciation Day at the Hogle Zoo.
“Our team members work so hard, and we wanted to say thank you in a way that lets families come together and enjoy themselves,” said Melissa Mickelsen, who coordinated the event. “We love being able to show appreciation to the people who make Geneva Rock such a great company.”
Team members and their families enjoyed a full day at the zoo, with activities such as the Zoofari Express Train, Conservation Carousel, face painting and a photo booth. After 6 p.m., the zoo was open exclusively for Geneva Rock team members to enjoy the environment at their own pace.
Dinner was also provided for all guests along with a Geneva Rock hat and a branded cooler backpack for each group.
Events like this year’s Team Member Appreciation Day emphasize Geneva Rock’s commitment to its core value of “We Value People.” Bringing families together and recognizing the hard work of team members helps build a strong sense of community. Thank you to everyone who showed up for the event!
