Post House Ready Mix Concrete Pour

The Post House District project in downtown Salt Lake City required a monumental effort from Geneva Rock. From dispatchers to quality control, safety, operations, and even sales, Geneva Rock utilized the expertise of many to complete the concrete portion of the Big-D Construction housing project. Extensive planning and coordination were required to ensure Geneva Rock had enough concrete production on hand for the final product.

Geneva Rock supplied a total of 35,000 cubic yards of concrete for the entire project The initial portion was completed in two parts, to create the parking structure underneath the housing development. The footings themselves are 30 inches deep and contain 14,000 cubic yards of concrete. 97 mixer trucks were used on-site with each truck carrying 10 yards per load during the two separate days. Geneva Rock crews are able to safely pour around 600-650 cubic yards per hour to complete the project.
