Geneva Rock introduced a new Service & Sodas series in 2026, giving team members at the Riverboat office a simple way to spend part of their lunch hour serving others together.
One recent Service & Sodas event supported The Magic Yarn Project, a nonprofit that creates handmade yarn wigs and beanies for children facing medical hair loss. It was a fun, hands-on project for a good cause and an easy way for Riverboat team members to get involved.
“Geneva Rock does so much for the community, and I love helping our team members at the Riverboat office get involved with those efforts,” said Melissa Mickelsen, Geneva Rock’s executive assistant. “Simple projects can have a big impact, plus we have a great time!”
The new Service & Sodas events are a good fit for the Riverboat office because they make service simple, meaningful and easy to be part of. This project brought people together around a cause that helps children and families going through hard things, and it was a good reminder that even a small effort can make a real difference.
