Geneva Rock recently had the opportunity to participate in a Clyde Administrative Services (CAS)-sponsored Lunch & Learn, giving leaders across Clyde Companies a closer look at the scale, complexity and teamwork behind Geneva Rock’s operations.
The session brought together Geneva Rock’s senior leadership team, with every member in attendance either presenting or there to support the conversation. Showing up together matters, especially when the goal is to help others better understand the work happening across our company.
During the presentation, Geneva Rock leaders walked through key areas of the business, highlighting how teams across the company operate day to day and what it takes to keep moving efficiently. The discussion also acknowledged the critical role CAS teams play in that work, including Legal, Accounting, Marketing, HR, Travel and others who support Geneva Rock behind the scenes.
“For CAS, it is critical that we understand the business we support,” said James Robertson, Director of Human Resources at Clyde Companies. “The subsidiary-focused Lunch & Learns are meant to help CAS understand how our work impacts them. For example, we learned that Aggregates Division processes more than 350,000 tickets a year. That’s incredible. All that we do from a systems, people and process to support their work helps them take care of our customer.”
The Lunch & Learn series is designed to strengthen understanding and connection across the organization, helping CAS teams see how their efforts directly support operations in the field. These sessions will continue quarterly and will cover a variety of topics, including benefits education, departmental overviews, leadership development and opportunities for other subsidiaries to participate.
Geneva Rock is grateful for the partnership and support of CAS teams and proud of the leaders who took time to share the story behind the work. It is another example of how collaboration across Clyde Companies helps teams serve customers and support one another.
