Sunny skies, 83-degree weather and a day full of rides, food and family fun made this year’s Geneva Rock Team Member Appreciation Day at Lagoon one to remember.
Nearly 4,000 Geneva Rock team members and family members gathered at Lagoon for the company’s annual appreciation event. With Lagoon celebrating its 130th anniversary this year, it was a fitting place to bring people together and celebrate the hardworking teams of Geneva Rock.
“Our projects are visible across Utah, but what really stands out to me is the quality of the people behind them,” said Ryan Dalling, President of Geneva Rock. “Our Team Member Appreciation Day is a chance to step back, spend time together and recognize the families who support the work we do every day.”
Throughout the day, team members connected with coworkers from different divisions, spent time with their families and enjoyed a well-earned break away from the jobsite. Attendees received park entry, parking, lunch and custom event shirts as part of the celebration.
For many, the day was a reminder that Geneva Rock’s culture extends beyond the work itself.
“It was an awesome day out at Lagoon with the family yesterday,” said Zach Richardson, Operations Manager of Construction Materials. “Huge shoutout to Geneva Rock for setting this up — the kids had an absolute blast! Proud to work for a company that takes care of its team members and their families.”
At Geneva Rock, we believe strong communities are built by strong teams. Team Member Appreciation Day is one way we show gratitude for the people who make the work possible.
We’re grateful for every team member who helps make Geneva Rock what it is. This day was one small way to say thank you.
