Geneva Rock recently teamed up with Clyde Companies at the annual Big Dig, hosted by the American Cancer Society to raise funds for pediatric cancer. This special day gives local children, including cancer patients, survivors and their families, the chance to operate heavy machinery.

At this year’s Big Dig, Geneva Rock brought a mixer truck and Clyde Companies brought Miles the Sweeper Truck, giving kids the unforgettable experience of sitting behind the wheel of real construction equipment. The excitement on their faces made the day extra special for everyone involved.

“The Big Dig gives cancer fighters and their families a unique, immersive experience in hopes that they temporarily forget their day-to-day battles,” said Abby Arnett, Community Engagement Specialist at Clyde Companies. “Seeing current fighters and survivors light up as they honked the horns of heavy equipment is something I won’t forget. Events like the Big Dig give me greater perspective and remind me the importance of lifting all members of our communities.”

Geneva Rock and Clyde Companies are committed to building better communities wherever they work and have proudly supported this cause for the past eight years. Plans are already being made to be back next year!
