A Journey of Growth

Tami began her time in the industry as a dispatcher, where she honed her communication and logistics skills. Driven by a desire to expand her horizons and enhance her career prospects, she pursued a business degree while working. Her hard work paid off, as she soon found herself excelling at the company

“In dispatch, I dealt with customers every day, building great relationships,” Tami said. “Now, as a Delivery and Customer Service Manager, I still get to interact with them, but I also get to combine my love for customer service and my dedication to supporting my team.”

Guiding Success

In her current role, Tami’s responsibilities extend beyond overseeing the fleet of trucks in the Layton and Ogden areas. She ensures timely deliveries and exceptional customer service, while passionately advocating for her team members, offering support and guidance in their day-to-day operations.

“I believe in being there for my team, guiding them and ensuring their success,” Tami said. “Their dedication drives me to work harder and be the best leader I can be.”

Overcoming Obstacles, Inspiring Change

Throughout her illustrious career, Tami has encountered her fair share of challenges as a woman in a male-dominated industry. However, she has consistently overcome these obstacles, proving her worth time and time again.

“As a woman in construction, you sometimes have to shine brighter, prove yourself, and earn respect,” Tami said. “It’s not always easy, but the more women get involved in this industry, the more diverse perspectives and understanding we bring to the table. Together, we can create a stronger future for everyone in the construction industry.”

Cherishing Family and Creating Memories

Outside of her professional endeavors, Tami finds solace and joy in her personal life. Living in Plain City, she enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing and camping, often involving her 11 grandchildren in these cherished moments.

“Spending time with my family, especially my grandkids, is what truly brings me happiness,” Tami said. “The great outdoors provides the perfect backdrop for creating lifelong memories.”

Another memory Tami enjoys creating involves attendance at professional football games, which perfectly combines her love for family and her passion for sports. As a passionate fan, Tami holds season tickets to the Arizona Cardinals. However, her favorite team is the Minnesota Vikings.

“Everyone knows how much I love football,” Tami said. “When I gather with family members at the stadium, cheering for our favorite team, it’s a wonderful bonding experience that we all enjoy.”

With each passing day, Tami continues to seek growth, both personally and professionally, embracing new opportunities to learn and make a positive impact.

“I am devoted to making Geneva Rock a better place to work,” Tami said. “I truly believe that every day presents an opportunity to learn something new and make a positive impact.”
