Ogden City contracted with Geneva Rock to completely reconstruct 20th Street which was in need of a major repair. The project is part of an ongoing city effort for the continual upgrade of the most severely deficient streets in Ogden. The project will widen the road between Washington Boulevard and Quincy Avenue. The project will improve safety for pedestrians with new crosswalks and sidewalks and improve traffic flow at the intersections by changing the street’s grade so it matches the elevation of its cross streets.
This complete reconstruct included excavation for new pavement section, new sewer laterals, new waterline with services, new storm drain. new curb and gutter, new sidewalk, new landscaping, new signage, and striping. Original contract work will be substantially complete in 2020 with some final work to be completed in 2021.
