SR-37 Road Construction in West Haven

This project consisted of the reconstruction of a 2-lane road into a four-lane road with a turn lane. Included in this project was running new storm drain lines, looping existing water lines, moving and reconstructing waterlines, relocating water lines, reconstructing box culverts, removing asphalt, roadway excavation, grading, asphalt paving, new signage and striping, landscaping, and bonded wearing course.

One of the unique aspects of this project was looping an existing 16″ shot coat line, 12″ HDPE line, and 10″ HDPE line for a box culvert and trail culvert. Another unique aspect of this project was running a 126 LF trail culvert.

The project consisted of:
• 15,000 linear feet of storm drain
• 74,000 cubic yards of excavation
• 40,000 cubic yards of granular borrow
