This project is part of the Benloch Ranch Development along SR-32 near Jordanelle Reservoir. The project mainly consisted of widening the highway along SR-32 to improve safety and access into the Benloch Ranch Development Area.
Work included 60,000 CY of excavation, 10,000 tons of granular borrow, and 3,500 tons of imported road base. The final surface was 5,000 tons of HMA. The guardrail was added in 2 locations to improve safety as well.
Challenges included rock excavation, limited workspace next to the highway and working near a high-pressure gas line. Project was completed within the allotted time, and now provides safer access to those traveling in the area.
